The Arf Program at Aloft Austin ensures your furry friend is not only welcome at the hotel, but is in for a VIP experience. When you and your pup check in, your room will be set up with a dog bed, bowl, and doggie bag filled with toys and treats. Your furry friend can even join you for Yappy Hour at the rooftop restaurant, which features a doggie menu, plus plenty of options for the humans.

According to Aloft’s pet policy, they allow dogs up to 40 pounds, but you can call the front desk to see if your bigger bestie qualifies for a waiver.

2. Archer Hotel Austin

Located at Domain Northside, just steps away from The Domain, Archer Hotel Austin is a luxury boutique hotel for you and your pup under 50 pounds. The hotel charges a pet fee of $150 USD in addition to your room rate. But once you arrive, your canine companion will be greeted with a dog biscuit, and you’ll get a dog bed, treats, poo bags, and two stainless steel bowls to make your pet’s stay more comfortable.

Archer Hotel also provides information on the best places for Austin pets, including nearby dog parks and Austin veterinarians. Their attention to your pet’s needs makes this one of the most pet-friendly hotels Austin has. 3. Aiden by Best Western @ Austin City Hotel

Aiden @Austin City Hotel is one of the best budget stays for you and your furry friend. The amenities include a free breakfast buffet, free parking, and a pool with a hot tub.

4. The Driskill

Historic and dog-friendly don’t typically go together — unless you’re at The Driskill. Currently owned by Hyatt, this iconic Downtown Austin hotel is more than 130 years old and has long been recognized as one of the best hotels in Austin.

The hotel has historic architectural features with updated guest rooms and three different bars and restaurants (plus room service, of course). Located in the 6th Street Entertainment District, you’ll be steps away from some of the best live music in Austin.

Your furry friend is welcome to join you at The Driskill for a $100 pet fee. You can bring up to two pets per room (for an additional fee), as long as they don’t weigh more than 75 pounds combined. 5. Hilton Austin

Another dog-friendly hotel in Downtown Austin, the Hilton Austin is located between the Rainy Street Historic District and the Red River Cultural District. It’s also just two blocks away from the 6th Street Entertainment District, so you’ll be able to walk to many of the best things to do in Austin (and if there’s one thing furry friends love to do, it’s walk!).

The hotel allows pets up to 75 pounds and has a low pet fee of just $50. During your stay, you can also take advantage of the hotel’s fitness center, outdoor swimming pool, and restaurant.

6. Kimpton Hotel Van Zandt

605 Davis St.

One of the best boutique hotels in Austin, TX, the Kimpton Hotel van Zandt is located in the Rainy Street Historic District, just steps away from Town Lake. And if you want to do more splashing around, their rooftop pool is one of the best hotel pools in Austin. (Pups aren’t allowed to use it, but the humans in your group will be glad it’s there!)

The Kimpton Hotel Van Zandt might be the most pet-friendly hotel Austin has to offer. Not only do they allow furry guests, they also have no weight or height restriction — so grab your Great Dane and head on down!

7. La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Austin Southwest

Staybridge Suites Austin North is an IHG Hotel located in Austin’s technology corridor near many of the best companies to work for in Austin. This hotel is a convenient stay for anyone traveling on business. And if you’re traveling on vacation, it’s just a short drive to The Arboretum, The Domain, and Lake Travis.

The suites include full kitchens, so you can whip up a meal for you and your furry friend. They also offer self-service laundry facilities, as well as free breakfast and free Wi-Fi. According to the hotel’s pet policy, they have an 80 pound weight limit per pet, and they allow up to two pets. The pet fee varies based on the length of your stay, so double check before you book.

9. The Westin Austin at The Domain
